I find it quite telling that this information is provided at the bottom of an article announcing the winners to a competition. Why would anyone hold the sort of competition where they thought it necessary to post that at the end? Perhaps we should hand that number out at the Olympics or professional sports events or science fairs or at the end of job interviews. Or perhaps we should rethink how we view competition and the promotion of progress and excellence in the world.
